I gotta agree with Strawberry...I never really saw the whole house in the burbs in Florida thing as being your bag. I'm so glad you are happy with where you are and the adventures to come. Not just the international ones but think of how many delights of the city the boys will be able to partake in every passing year as they grow older! NYC is such a rich and exciting place to grow up. And the mom community sounds divine!tbeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06845011825238450567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4714398462016533571.post-29977661155538260172011-09-20T15:29:21.299-04:002011-09-20T15:29:21.299-04:00I love your thought process and must admit, I did ...I love your thought process and must admit, I did think when you started, you don't seem like the Great American Dream type of person :)

Also, now I can visit with you when we travel to NYC :)Marcia (123 blog)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15581613927187600748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4714398462016533571.post-48008358369548255302011-09-20T15:01:36.849-04:002011-09-20T15:01:36.849-04:00We don't even have kids yet, but we have this ...We don't even have kids yet, but we have this conversation fairly often (to-stay-in-NYC-or-not). There are just SO many things I find inconvenient about living here, but then when I'm away for a weekend or so, I can't help but practically cry when I see the skyline again. It is truly love/hate.

At the end of the day, this City is special. You love it and if you moved, you'd probably be miserable. That said, I'm so glad you had so many great factors to aid you in making this decision.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4714398462016533571.post-48896056411969690882011-09-20T14:32:01.281-04:002011-09-20T14:32:01.281-04:00I'm sure it is such a relief to have come to a...I'm sure it is such a relief to have come to an actual decision. I get the sense sometimes that you and I are similar (in that Gemini sort of way)- you get an idea and then there's this obsession about it...and then hesitation...and then...well, maybe it's just the whole 'grass is greener' effect. I couldn't really see you all as happy in Florida, even though it seemed like a great idea at first. Not to say that you would only be happy in NYC, but Florida...eh. It's good that you've come to appreciate more where you live. Every now and then I get the restless urge to make a big move, but I talk myself down into making over a room in our little house instead. lol.Strawberryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00800336069786992859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4714398462016533571.post-15351719871431685972011-09-20T13:06:28.886-04:002011-09-20T13:06:28.886-04:00Loved reading and following your jouney from one e...Loved reading and following your jouney from one end to the other.

That you have been able to come to this place of content happy is all that matters. We're somewhere in the middle (in a city but not IN a city, big house but not Mchouse, etc). It's a decent enough compromise, I guess, but having the opportunity to live in Manhattan is hard to pass up, right? So great for the boys. Happy to hear the decision is made, and that all is well!AdventuresInBabyMakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04791187104312323168noreply@blogger.com
