We had our big ultrasound with the high risk specialist Sept. 11, when the babies were 16 weeks, 4 days, but I'm just getting around to posting it. I'm running a bit behind in blogging this past week.
I am always so anxious about these appointments and true to form I slept like complete shit the night before. It didn't help that the date was a reminder of very bad things in our fair city.
Nevertheless, the twins are doing Great!!
We got an excellent, glowing report. They are both measuring a few days ahead and are a little over 6 ounces each. Their heartbeats are 150/151, so that's right on target as well.
We did my first cervix measure and it's just fine. We have no need to worry, for now, about any kind of preterm labor.
They have all the right number of finger and toes, organs, brains--you name it. If they were supposed to have it, they do.
It's still so crazy to me how much they are moving all around and yet I can't feel it hardly anything.
They are SO much bigger than the last time. This process of making and growing a baby still trips Chicken and I up. There are live human beings growing inside me. Quickly. And before you know it they are going to have to come outside of me and we'll be watching them watching us with everyone blinking in shock at what the hell just happened.
It's crazy.
We got over 20 photos; here are my faves:
Chicklet waving an arm in the air "Power to the Baby!"
Chicklet feet, so cute! I cannot wait to munch on these toes.
Shadow Boxer, well...boxing. It was the right name for sure.
Shadow Boxer feet, more baby toes to munch on!

They look wonderfully cute and I'm so glad they're doing well. Love the new title too (Puffer and the Baby Fishies)
Beautiful babies!!! I got a chuckle when I visualized all four of you staring wide eyed at each other and blinking with surprise.
So cute! Thanks for sharing, I'm glad they're doing so well!
ive been stalking your blog like crazy for updates, so thank you! I loved all the pics, and the twins definitely seem to be thriving in your belly. :) It does trip us up, too, that there is a growing human being in my belly. so weird!
Yee haw, Ma!!!
They're lovely! And so so glad to hear that they got a clean bill of health so far. I'm sure you'll start feeling lots more movement soon. Were the twins facing one another - could you see them bumping into one another (or their respective amniotic sacs)?
Great pictures - Shadow Boxer cracks me up!
